legal terms of service
ChainLayerTwo Website Terms of Service
The rules for using chainlayertwo.online, your account and the hosted services.
Version 2026-10-01. These terms are between you and the operator of ChainLayerTwo ("we", "us") and cover chainlayertwo.online, your account, the account panel, the dashboard, the hosted model gateway and the other services we run (the "Site"). They work together with the ChainLayerTwo End User License Agreement (the "EULA"), which covers the software you install. By creating an account, signing in, or using the Site, you accept these terms and the EULA. If you do not, do not use the Site.
1. The short version
- You are responsible for what you build and do with ChainLayerTwo, and for what you put on or send through the Site.
- Keep your account secure. Anything done with your sign-in or tokens is treated as done by you.
- Do not abuse the services. We can limit, suspend or end access.
- The Site is provided as it is, our liability is limited, and you release us from claims about what you make and do, as set out below.
2. Who can use the Site
You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) and able to form a binding contract. Creating an account is your agreement to these terms and to the EULA. We may decline, hold for review, limit or end any account at our discretion.
3. Your account
- You are responsible for your email, password, sign-in tokens and API keys, and for everything done with them. Tell us promptly if you think they were exposed, and revoke them in your account.
- Give accurate information and keep it current. Do not create accounts to avoid limits, share or sell access, or impersonate anyone.
- New accounts may be reviewed before they receive full access, and access levels and limits can differ by account. We can change limits and plans.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use the Site or the hosted gateway to:
- break the law or anyone's rights, or to harm, attack, scrape, overload or probe any system or person;
- get around rate limits, quotas, approval or security controls, or use access you were not given;
- upload or send content you do not have the right to use, or malicious code aimed at systems you do not own or have permission to test;
- resell, redistribute or publish keys, tokens or access;
- interfere with other people's use of the Site.
5. What you send and what you make
You keep ownership of what you send to and make with the Site and the Software. You give us only the permission we need to run the service for you: to receive, process, store (where you ask us to, for example saved sessions) and transmit it, to show it back to you, and to pass it to the model or provider you choose. You are solely responsible for your content and for everything you make, publish or do with the Site, the Software and any output. We do not review what you make and we are not responsible for it.
6. Saved sessions and presence
- Saved sessions are stored only when you turn them on in the Software (
/cloud on). They are yours: you can read, download and delete them in your account. Credentials are removed from the text before it is uploaded, but you should not rely on that; do not save sessions containing information you are not allowed to store with a third party. We limit how much each account can store. - Presence. While you are signed in and the Software is running, it reports that a session is online: an anonymous session id, your device name, the version, whether it is working or idle, and when it started. It never includes your conversations, files or commands. We can see how many sessions and accounts are online and, to run and protect the service, which accounts. You can switch this off with
/presence off. - We may keep security and audit logs of account actions. We do not sell personal information.
7. AI models and third parties
The Site passes requests to models and providers that we do not control. Their output can be wrong or unsafe, and their terms and privacy practices apply to what you send them. We are not responsible for them or for links to other sites.
8. The Site is provided as it is
THE SITE, THE HOSTED GATEWAY AND ALL OUTPUT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE SERVICE. We may change, limit or stop any part of the Site at any time. We do not promise that data you store with us will never be lost: keep your own copies.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE AND OUR CONTRIBUTORS, SUPPLIERS AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, FILES OR PROJECTS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SITE, ANY OUTPUT, OR WHAT YOU MAKE OR DO WITH THEM, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD THEY COULD HAPPEN. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF WHAT YOU PAID US FOR THE SITE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AND ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US$100). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Release of claims and indemnity
- Release. To the fullest extent the law allows, you release us and our contributors, suppliers and licensors from any claim, demand or liability, known or unknown, that arises out of or relates to what you make, generate, publish, store or do with the Site, the Software or any output, to your content, and to anyone you let use your account. You agree not to bring such claims against us.
- Indemnity. You will defend, indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) brought by anyone else and arising out of your content, what you make or do, your breach of these terms or the EULA, or your violation of any law or another person's rights.
11. Resolving disputes
- Talk first. Before starting any claim, tell us about the problem and give us 30 days to try to resolve it.
- Individual arbitration. Except for the exceptions below, any dispute between you and us arising out of or relating to these terms or the Site will be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis, not in court and not by a jury.
- No class actions. You and we may bring claims only in an individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or member of any class, collective or representative proceeding.
- Exceptions. Either of us may bring an individual claim in small-claims court, and either of us may seek an injunction in court to stop misuse of intellectual property or of the service.
- Where the law does not allow this, the parts that are not allowed do not apply to you, and the rest still do.
- Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the place where the operator of ChainLayerTwo is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your home country gives you rights that cannot be waived.
12. Changes and ending
We may change these terms. When they change in a way that matters, we will ask you to accept the new version before you continue, and using the Site after that means you accept it. You may stop using the Site and delete your saved sessions at any time. We may suspend or end your access for breach, abuse or risk to the service. Sections 5 to 11, and anything that by its nature should survive, survive.
13. General
These terms and the EULA are the whole agreement about the Site. If a part is unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer these terms; we may. You will follow the export, sanctions and other laws that apply to you.
